1. Who this policy covers

The Service is a business tool used by accounting and bookkeeping firms (“Firms”) to manage their clients’ books, workflows, and communications. This policy applies to Firm users of the Service and to information about the Firms’ clients that is processed through the Service. We process client information as a service provider on behalf of the Firm.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

When a Firm user registers or is invited, we collect information such as name, email address, role, and authentication credentials.

Client and business records

Firms enter or import information about their clients, including business details, contacts, engagements, documents, and financial records used to deliver bookkeeping and accounting services.

Data from connected accounting systems

When a Firm connects a client’s QuickBooks Online company, we access certain accounting data through Intuit’s API, as described in Section 3.

Usage and device information

We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps to operate and secure the Service.

3. QuickBooks Online data

With the Firm’s authorization, a Firm may connect a client’s QuickBooks Online company to the Service using Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 authorization. We request the accounting scope (com.intuit.quickbooks.accounting).

Our access to and use of information received from Intuit APIs adheres to the Intuit Developer terms, and QuickBooks data is used and transferred only in ways permitted by those terms.

4. How we use information

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal or financial information. We share information only:

6. Data storage and security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. These include encryption of data in transit (TLS), encryption of stored OAuth tokens and other sensitive credentials, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service and as required by law. When a QuickBooks Online connection is disconnected — from within the Service or from within QuickBooks — we revoke and delete the stored OAuth tokens and the cached QuickBooks summary snapshot for that client. A Firm may request deletion of its account data by contacting us, subject to legal retention requirements.

8. Your choices and disconnecting

A Firm may disconnect a client’s QuickBooks Online company at any time from the client’s page in the Service, or from the “Apps” section within QuickBooks Online. Disconnecting stops further data access and removes the stored tokens and cached snapshot as described in Section 7.

9. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Intuit QuickBooks Online. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. See Intuit’s privacy policy at intuit.com/privacy.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
